Some pets will put up with just about anything from young kids, while others disappear the second they hear tiny footsteps approaching. We’ve all seen the viral videos of children enthusiastically hugging, dressing up, or otherwise “styling” animals — and somehow, the pets just go along with it.
Tabby cat Meatball is clearly in the unbothered camp.
In a now-viral video, Meatball calmly sits as his toddler human sister gives him a full makeover using the makeup she received for Christmas. She gently pokes, pats, and “applies” her products while Meatball barely moves a whisker, looking more resigned than rattled as he lets his best friend do her thing.

The clip, shared by their mom with the caption “Kitty gets a Christmas makeover,” quickly won over viewers who couldn’t believe how patient the cat was — or how seriously his tiny stylist took the job.
Commenters flooded the post with jokes and admiration for Meatball’s tolerance. One viewer wrote that adult cats will abandon a lap if you blink too loudly, while another joked that simply sighing near their own cat is enough to send it running. Others pointed out the obvious bond between Meatball and his sister, with one comment getting tens of thousands of likes for saying, “Oh, that kitty loooves her!”
Plenty of viewers leaned into the humor, too. One joked that Meatball was born with it — “maybe it’s Meowbelline.” Another warned that this could lead to the cat demanding daily makeup sessions to feel bonita. Even Maria, the video’s creator, replied that they might have accidentally created a monster.
More playful comments imagined Meatball thinking, “It’s either this or the streets,” while others laughed at how seriously the toddler told her feline client to “stay still,” even though he clearly wasn’t going anywhere.
