A dog mom has gone viral online after revealing the hilarious trick she uses to convince her stubborn senior bulldog to go for a walk.

The woman shared the clip on TikTok under the username @rolliepolliefrenchie, explaining that her 11-year-old bulldog refuses to walk unless something exciting is involved. So she came up with a creative solution — using a remote-controlled toy car to lure the pup down the sidewalk.

In the now-viral video, the owner drives a bright red Lightning McQueen toy car — the famous character from Disney Pixar’s Cars — along the pavement. As the little race car zooms ahead, the determined bulldog happily chases after it, turning what would normally be a standstill into a full walk.

According to the owner, the strategy works because her bulldog only wants to chase things. Without the moving toy, she says the dog simply refuses to budge.

“She’ll just stand completely still,” the owner joked in the caption.

The adorable moment quickly captured the internet’s attention. The video has already racked up more than 157,000 views and nearly 40,000 likes, with thousands of people praising the owner’s clever idea.

While the scene is funny, experts say keeping older dogs active — even with creative motivation — is important for their health.

Veterinary experts say senior dogs generally benefit from about 30 to 60 minutes of exercise each day, depending on their age, breed and mobility. Regular movement helps maintain muscle strength, joint flexibility and mental stimulation as dogs get older.

Bulldogs, however, require a more gentle approach. Because of their short snouts, the breed can struggle with breathing and overheating, so short and relaxed walks are usually best.

For older bulldogs, light daily activity can help prevent stiffness and muscle loss, even if their exercise routine looks very different from when they were younger.

For this particular pup, it turns out the secret to staying active is a little movie magic — and a tiny race car leading the way.

TikTok users were quick to fall in love with the bulldog’s quirky personality and the owner’s creative approach.

“Senior dogs have earned the right to be weird. Period,” one commenter wrote.

Another person said they could relate, writing, “I have to walk with a squeaky toy to keep my dog moving forward.”

“All I see is a queen getting her exercise and excellent mental stimulation with McQueen himself,” another user joked.

One commenter summed up the moment perfectly: “The way you have to outsmart a stubborn dog will never not be funny.”
