Dog “Loses Fight” With a Stick — And the Internet Can’t Stop Laughing
Every dog loves a good stick… but for one pup, things got hilariously out of control.
Nala, a French bulldog and Staffordshire bull terrier mix, is obsessed with collecting sticks during her daily walks. Her owner, 31-year-old Nicola Spence, says it’s one of the 3-year-old pup’s favorite things to do whenever they head to the park.
But one recent outing didn’t go quite as planned.
While walking ahead, Spence suddenly realized Nala wasn’t following like she normally does. When she turned back to check on her, she found her mischievous pup stuck in a situation that had clearly gotten out of hand.
The park had just been trimmed, leaving branches scattered everywhere—and Nala had been darting in and out of them. Somehow, instead of carrying her prize stick, she managed to get it completely tangled in her harness.

“She always gets herself into sticky situations,” Spence said, laughing.
The moment was caught on video, showing Nala awkwardly stuck with the branch attached to her like some kind of accidental accessory. Spence joked online that Nala “got into a fight with a stick and clearly lost.”
The clip quickly blew up on TikTok, racking up tens of thousands of views and thousands of likes as people couldn’t get enough of the goofy moment.
Eventually, Nala was freed—but not without a struggle, since the branch was surprisingly heavy. And in true dog fashion, once she was finally unstuck… she went right back to playing with it.
Social media users flooded the comments with jokes, with one person writing, “Branch manager here, please accept my deepest apologies for laughing so hard,” while another joked, “That face is like when a human trips and hopes nobody saw.”
Safe to say, Nala may not have won the battle—but she definitely won the internet.
