There’s never a dull moment when Golden Retriever puppies are involved, and Sheryl Bowden knows that better than anyone.
Bowden, who raises Golden Retriever puppies, has a house full of adorable chaos right now thanks to her latest litter. But one tiny pup in particular has stolen the spotlight. His name is Chuck, and he has apparently decided that playpen rules simply do not apply to him.
For a while, Sheryl and her family had been baffled over how little Chuck kept managing to break out on his own. The mystery continued until one lucky day when she finally caught the whole thing on video.
And honestly, it is almost too cute to handle.
The determined little puppy can be seen working hard to make his great escape, showing off some serious persistence for such a tiny guy. But the best part comes after he pulls it off. Chuck struts away looking unbelievably pleased with himself, like he just accomplished the greatest mission of his young life.

Sheryl joked in the caption, “Chuck is our little escape artist LOL,” and she clearly is not wrong. With confidence like that, it is easy to believe this sweet pup is going to keep his future family very busy.
As if the breakout itself was not adorable enough, people in the comments were completely smitten with Chuck’s antics.
One person wrote, “Haha aww Chucky…he just wants to be with his people!” Sheryl replied that he had even been caught sleeping with the adult dogs, adding, “He doesn’t want to be a baby!”
Another commenter joked, “He’s like it’s fine, I’ll let myself out LOL!” And honestly, that really does seem to be Chuck’s attitude.
Others could not get enough of his determined little walk after the escape, with one person pointing out his adorable puppy waddle. Another viewer summed it up perfectly, saying that if he can get out, he deserves to be out.
Some fans even wondered whether Chuck had any help from his siblings inside the pen, wishing there had been another camera angle to catch the full behind-the-scenes action.
Still, one commenter raised a note of caution, warning that puppies should not be jumping out too often because it can be hard on their hips. Sheryl responded that they had already changed the barrier and made it clear she definitely does not want the pups roaming freely around the house.
Probably a wise move, because once Chuck has figured out one escape route, there is no telling what this tiny Houdini will try next.
