A mini Dachshund is going viral for doing something most dogs can barely be bothered to try: absolutely crushing it on an iPad game.

While plenty of pets ignore screens completely, Ranger is clearly not one of them. The adorable little Dachshund has become a total star after showing off his favorite iPad game and proving he knows exactly how to play it.

And the funniest part is that he is actually good at it.

In the video, Ranger bounces with excitement as he taps at the screen with total focus, looking less like a dog and more like a tiny gamer locked into an important mission. His mom joked that they may have to get him his own iPad soon, and honestly, after watching him in action, she might not be kidding.

If they do, though, they may never get it back.

Viewers were completely obsessed with the clip and rushed to the comments to joke about what happens when iPad kid energy officially reaches the dog world. Some laughed that now people are raising iPad dogs, while others said Ranger looked like he was giving the tablet CPR with all his frantic little paw taps.

His mom even revealed that the game he loves is called Jolly Dog, and she said she has never paid for it, even though some features apparently do cost extra.

A few people jokingly pointed out that Ranger missed some of the targets, but his mom was quick to defend her little guy, basically making it clear that no matter what, he is still a very good boy.

Others were more concerned about the iPad itself. When people asked whether his paws had scratched the screen, Ranger’s mom admitted the marks were only on the screen protector.

Probably a very smart move.

Ranger’s hilarious gaming session is the kind of wholesome internet content people cannot get enough of, especially because he looks so serious about the whole thing. He is not just tapping randomly. He genuinely seems to know what he is doing, and that somehow makes it even cuter.

At this point, it might be time to admit it: the era of the iPad dog has officially arrived.
