One Golden Retriever was not ready for pool day to be over, and he made sure his mom knew it.
Bentley, a very dramatic Golden Retriever with plenty of personality, had apparently spent hours swimming and enjoying the water. But when his mom decided it was finally time to leave, the fun came to a sudden and very unpopular end.
The video does not show Bentley in the pool. Instead, it captures the hilarious aftermath: the soggy pup sitting in the backseat of his mom’s car, fully turned away from her and clearly pouting over being forced to go home.
His mom may have been ready to call it a day, but Bentley was not.
The Golden Retriever refused to look at her, giving off the unmistakable energy of a dog who felt personally betrayed. After hours of swimming, he still seemed to believe he deserved just a little more pool time.
Maybe he had been playing mermaids. Maybe he was working on his doggie paddle. Or maybe he simply believes pool days should last forever.
Whatever the reason, Bentley was clearly not ready to leave.

His dramatic backseat pout had viewers laughing because it was so relatable. Anyone who has ever had to drag a happy dog away from their favorite activity knows that look.
Golden Retrievers are known for being playful, social and full of emotion, and Bentley proved he has all three traits in a big way.
He may have lost the battle over pool time, but he definitely won the internet with his hilarious car ride attitude.
For Bentley, the only bad part of a perfect pool day was being told it was over.
