Victoria Schroeder, a rescuer with Longhopes Donkey Shelter, has a special relationship with the animals in her care.
She shared some adorable footage on Instagram of one of her four-legged friends who just couldn’t seem to get enough of her affection!
Even as Victoria continuously kissed the donkey’s fuzzy nose, the sweet baby kept nuzzling against her for more kisses.

“One of the most amazing things in rescue work is being able to spend time with an animal and feeling in your heart that THEY know they’re loved,” the donkey mom wrote in her caption. “Sometimes in rescue work we see animals that have been neglected or abused for a long time and it can be difficult for them to open up again.”
The post continues, “I love rescue work because it gives us a chance to make it right when so many others didn’t. It gives us a chance to show these amazing animals that not all humans are the same. That we care. We love them. And they’re safe with us.”
