Alachua County Animal Resources in Gainesville, Florida shared the sweetest story this morning about a dog who was found tied to a tree after their owner sadly passed away.
When the shelter posted the dog’s photo to Facebook, an absolute miracle occurred.
The amazing Facebook post explains, “Because we needed another hearty cry today… Ares came to us after being found tied up at a dog park. After we posted him yesterday, Tierney (pictured in the post) saw his picture and was in shock.
A dear friend of Tierney’s was the previous owner of Ares, and the friend had tragically passed away. No one knew what had happened to Ares after his death. They looked for him for so long, so when his picture popped up, Tierney came rushing in. ”
Tierney showed the shelter the pictures, and they brought the dog out to confirm it was the same Ares. Tierney decided to finalize his adoption and make this reunion a permanent one! Ares knew so much love before, and we are so happy he will never be without it again.
In the heartwarming story above, a dog that was once known and loved but ended up with different owners is back with someone he knew from long ago.
