While most people agree that pets are a lifelong commitment, sometimes, unforeseen circumstances lead to them being surrendered. It’s especially heartbreaking when an animal who once had a loving home winds up alone in the shelter.

This is the case for Jersey Cinco, who’s a 7-year-old cat who’s waiting for his forever home at the FurKids Midtown Atlanta shelter in Atlanta, Georgia. A video of this kitty was shared on January 3, explaining how he’s been given up because of a health issue in his family. Get ready for your heart to break after seeing this poor, lonely cat.

Aw, this is so sad. It’s so tough to think about how confused he must be, wondering why his family doesn’t want him anymore. Hopefully, someone will adopt him soon!

  1. With a face like that Jersey should get a home soon.
    Especially with this article.
Now – if more than one person applies for adoption and doesn’t get Hersey, remember there are so, SO many other cats in need of homes.
Adopt another IN JERSEY’S honor. And tell him/her all about it 💖
