You might think that when you lose an animal, it only impacts the humans of the house. But animals know when something has changed too.
In fact, animals might even grieve the loss just like you and I would. Just like a cat online who knew that her dog sister passed away and had the most heartbreaking reaction to her death.
Shared by their mama, an Emergency Room and Specialty tech who goes by @wackdog online, it shows Goose having a moment after the dog’s death.

As the animal mom explained, their dog Jesse “passed away suddenly. Nobody got to say goodbye.”
The footage shows Goose cuddling up on a gray towel. A towel with very special meaning.
“Goose loved Jesse and found her towel with hair on it. Since her death, he’s been acting like he sees something,” their mama wrote in the video’s onscreen caption.
The mom “finally” caught Goose’s behavior on camera. It looks like Goose was looking up in the air — but nothing was there at all.
“No doubt he feels her,” the animal lover added. The clip ended with Goose “making biscuits” with Jesse’s towel — a behavior that cats do when they want to bond or feel comforted.
