The majestic elephant is known for their memory, intelligence, and strong family bonds.
However, just like human toddlers, baby elephants get frustrated when things don’t work in their favor. It could be the denial of a treat or a sibling playing with their favorite toy, these young elephants readily express their displeasure. It could be through trumpeting loudly, stomping their feet, or laying down refusing to move until they are allowed what they want.
These tantrums aren’t all in vain. It allows baby elephants to communicate their wants and needs to the rest of the herd. Allowing their mother or older siblings to play hero and comfort the upset baby.
