Cats are often criticized for being independent and not being as affectionate as dogs. However, this viral video says otherwise.
The heartwarming clip shared to Instagram showcases the unbreakable bond between 4-year-old Natalie Philipe Fava and her kitten, Skye.
It may be hard not to say “aww” when watching the montage of clips that show the pair doing everything together from eating, sleeping, and playing.
In just 24 hours, the video has amassed 9.1 million views. Newsweek spoke to mom Bruna Fava, 35, about their adorable friendship.

Fava, who lives in Florida, said: “They are very close to each other.
“Natalie named her cat Skye because of Paw Patrol, the character who is little but brave. Same as she is, little and brave.”
Eight-month-old Skye had an eye problem when she was rescued from a shelter but Natalie nursed her back to good health.
During the clip, the pair can be seen sitting at the table and eating together, Skye is also served her dinner on a plate.
Fava explains: “Skye kept trying to food from Natalie, so eventually we just placed a seat for her there.”
The on-screen text says: “POV: you’ve adopted a kitten and gained a bestie.”

According to one study, a family pet can boost a child’s development. The study, led by Dr. Carri Westgarth at the university’s Institute of Infection and Global Health, found that children with pets tend to have greater self-esteem and were less lonely.
