There are reasons why Goldens are many people’s favorite dog breed. They’re just so loving. That extends beyond being affectionate to their humans. Just take a video online of the exact moment a Golden Retriever fell in love with a litter of gray kittens. It seems like an unlikely pairing, but the dog’s feelings towards them were so pure.
The pup’s owner must’ve known that they had a gentle nature because she didn’t hesitate to introduce the dog to the tiny newborn creatures.
The footage from @leo.tiger.nala shows the Golden Retriever carefully making their way downstairs towards the bed where the kittens were resting. The pup finally made it over to the cats and gave them a good sniff before excitedly walking over to his owner and making his way up to the raised bed.
His tail was wagging so fast, he kept bouncing up and down, and he was in a play position. But don’t worry, he was very gentle with them. He even gave one of the kittens a kiss.
