While planning fun activities for your family to do together this holiday season, don’t forget your four-legged friends! Dog owner Joey Karni recently shared the sweetest video reminding us all to include our pets in our traditions. Specifically, he recommended taking your dogs to see Christmas lights. After watching his pooch react to the mesmerizing sight, we’re totally convinced!
In this heart-melting clip, Joey’s dog sat in the backseat with their head poking out the window while the car drove past dazzling displays of Christmas lights. While we can’t tell for sure what this canine was thinking, they certainly seemed to be taking in the scene with interest!

“This is your reminder to take your dogs to see Christmas lights,” Joey wrote over the footage. “They enjoy it more than we do and their time with us is far too short.”
The pet owner shared a second video featuring a different dog looking at Christmas lights from inside the car. This pup seemed equally fascinated by the holiday decorations as they stuck their head outside the window to enjoy the view.
“Dogs may not understand the joy of Christmas lights, but they pick up on the joy we get, which brings them joy,” read the overlayed text. “Nothing better than shared joy with a pet.”
