Dog mom Zimny was pretty confused when she got a text from her mother-in-law. Zimny was driving home from a visit when her mother-in-law asked her an important question: had she seen her chocolate Lab, Finn? Of course not — right? Well unfortunately the woman was in for a big surprise.

Zimny was a whole 30 minutes into her drive home when she got the text. And boy oh boy was it a doozy.

The woman shared the story on online and had people in the comments section in pure suspense.  “I was like, there’s no way her dog is in my car because he’s a chocolate Lab and I loaded the Goldens myself,” she explained in the clip. “I would know if there was a chocolate Lab in my car.”

But she checked it out just to “be safe.” And well — you know what happened next. Finn had planned himself a little sleepover. Sadly he didn’t run it by his mama first.

“Finn is a good, sneaky boy, and now he gets to keep me company during late night writing sessions for the next few days,” she wrote in the caption.

Anyone who has nieces and nephews has been there. Although it’s not everyday that your dog plans a visit without his humans being in the loop. Which is why people in the comments section were cracking up. “Awww. He forgot to tell you that he was not done playing,” joked one person.

“They made the cousin sleepover happen!” another viewer teased. “When kids make plans without informing the parents,” chimed in someone else. “Golden’s whispering to Finn on the way home, ‘Just stay quiet a little longer and she’ll have to let you sleepover,'” agreed one commenter.
