If you’re looking for some cuteness overload, get ready for it because Oregon Zoo introduced the newest member of their family on Monday, a new baby elephant!
Proud mama Rose-Tu gave birth to the baby on Saturday, February 1st, and zoo staff as well as the rest of us are totally smitten with the babe already!
Watch on to see the baby try to get up and walk shortly after birth and how quickly they become more comfy standing on their feet. I’ve watched the video several times already! I can’t wait to see more of the baby exploring their new world!

Viewers of the Oregon Zoo video were just as excited as I was to see the new little one. @Lizzie shared, “With everything else going on right now, I’ve never been happier to see a new elephant in the world. Welcome, you beautiful, caring, and loving creature.”
@Michael Knight lovingly demanded, “MORE BABY ELEPHANTS PLEASE!!!!” @madre of emily asked, “They are perfect. When can the public see them?” and the Zoo responded, “That’s up to Rose, but it shouldn’t be too long!” @San Diego Zoo was also excited and left a sweet message, “Welcome little one!!!”
