Bringing home your second dog is almost as big a decision as bringing home your first dog, but there’s one more family member to consider now. Think about it—giving your dog a fur sibling, playmate, and cuddle buddy can be a fantastic reason to adopt dog number 2! Many dogs light up when they have another four-legged friend to pal around with, but no one will love their relationship more than you.
Zulu, Theo, and their mom Siarra are the perfect examples! Zulu knows what it’s like to have a fur sibling in the home, but she’s been a bit lonely since her older fur siblings crossed the rainbow bridge. Fortunately, Siarra fell in love with Theo based on his online adoption profile, and she flew across the country to adopt him.

Now, Theo and Zulu are inseparable! They have so much in common, from their love of naps to their playful spirits, but it’s their nearly-identical looks that have their fans talking. The best part is that they’re entirely different dog breeds!
Zulu’s little brother looks like a Build-a-Bear version of her. Once you see it, you’ll never be able to unsee it. Take a look!
Aww, could these two get any cuter? Theo is an adorable little fluffball, and Zulu, the long-coated German Shepherd, is as majestic as can be.
Naturally, everyone is curious about what the puppy’s breed makeup is. It turns out that he’s a beautiful mixed-breed mutt! According to Siarra, Theo is a combination of Pomeranian, Chihuahua, Shih Tzu, Poodle, and American Eskimo Dog genes.
Because the new puppy will always be a tiny dog, these fur siblings will always have a big size difference between them. My Alaskan Malamute mix and Chihuahua mix are the same way! Clearly, I can’t get enough of big dog and small dog combos, and these two are no exception.
A commenter named Jill joked, “It’s like when you brush your dog and say, ‘I could make another dog with all this hair.’” Theo even blended in with his big sister’s tail when she was lying on the floor! They may be two vastly different breeds, but these dogs are two peas in a pod.
The adorable adventures these two will get into are only beginning. Only time will tell what’s in store for these precious siblings!
