You never know when a simple, daily routine may turn into a life-changing occasion. Whether it’s running into an old friend while out and about or getting a phone call with wonderful news, anything could happen! Even so, no one truly expects something like this to occur.

Just ask Julz and Kaitlyn, a pair of new dog mamas who recently rescued a Shih Tzu puppy while out on a lunchtime walk. They found her “in a crate on the trail under the highway,” in early April, and now that she’s been home for a month, she acts like an entirely different dog!

While recuperating in her new home, Lady has gained confidence, trust, and even some weight. It’s safe to say that she found her forever family exactly when she needed it the most. Check out all the progress this little dog has made in just a few weeks!

Introducing Lady🥰 It’s been a busy month!! We found Lady a month ago while we were on our lunch time walk. She was in a crate on the trail right under the highway bridge. Originally we were going to just bring her home to foster her for a bit but of course fell in love She is the sweetest little girl and her confidence and trust has grown so much #puppyrescue #shihtzupuppy

Go, Lady, go! It’s impossible not to cheer for this precious little dog and her loving moms, especially after hearing her bittersweet rescue story. As heartbreaking as it is to think of what happened to her before Julz and Kaitlyn found her, it’s clear that she’s exactly where she’s meant to be now.
