Whoever said cats and dogs can’t be friends clearly never met Trout and Bruce. These two may have only just crossed paths, but they’re already winning hearts online with their undeniable bond.
It all started in Indiana, where a pet lover adopted Bruce, a senior Golden Retriever who had been rescued from a puppy mill by the Humane Society of Fort Wayne. After years of hardship, Bruce was finally settling into a life of comfort and love.
Then came the kittens.
Bruce’s owner began fostering a litter of orphaned kittens, and that’s when Trout entered the picture. One curious little tabby kitten, Trout instantly took to Bruce—and the feeling seemed mutual.

From the start, Trout has been practically glued to Bruce’s side. He climbs on him, kneads his fur, and treats the big dog like he’s just another kitten in the litter. And Bruce? He doesn’t mind one bit. In fact, he seems perfectly content letting Trout curl up next to him or use him as a personal playground.
