Duke the Golden Retriever is living proof that some dogs have no chill when it comes to seeing their favorite humans — especially if that human happens to be their “girlfriend.”
In a now-viral video, Duke’s owner teases him with the question every dog dreams of hearing: “Do you know who’s coming over?” At first, Duke tilts his head in curiosity. But within seconds, it clicks — and his excitement skyrockets.

He bolts outside to the pool area, pacing, watching, and waiting. And when he spots her — Julia, the lucky girlfriend — all bets are off. Duke runs full force, knocking her onto a reclining chair, smothering her in kisses, and refusing to let her up until he’s had his fill of sniffs and slobber.
After his over-the-top welcome, the two enjoy what can only be described as a “doggy dream date” — a swim in the pool, followed by a long, heartfelt hug. Judging by Duke’s blissed-out face, you’d think he’d just won the canine lottery.
