Few things are as pure bliss as cuddling a baby animal. Between their tiny bodies, endless trust, and unconditional love, it’s hard not to melt a little when you’re around them. Who wouldn’t want a few minutes of snuggles with one of these little fluff balls?
Lucky for Hawaiian farm owners @kristaupcountry and @ktfasho, their ranch is full of opportunities for baby donkey cuddles. The newest addition to their herd arrived overnight on October 24, and he’s absolutely perfect. His human mamas couldn’t resist holding him just 12 hours after he was born, and the moment he fell asleep in KT’s arms has everyone swooning.

Isn’t he the sweetest? With his fluffy head and criss-crossed legs, he’s practically made for Instagram. Watching him nod off in his mama’s arms is enough to bring tears to your eyes—what an honor to be one of his first safe spaces in the world.
“He’s so tired. He’s had a very exhausting 12 hours of being alive,” commented @jackimay14. And honestly, being that adorable must be exhausting!
Other commenters agree—@jordansamm wrote, “I, too, want to snuggle a baby mini donkey.” Who could blame them? Baby farm animal cuddles are officially on everyone’s bucket list now.
As tiny as he is, viewers are also amazed by how big he already seems. This little guy is a 12-hour-old miniature donkey! Mini donkeys usually grow to about 36 inches tall at the shoulder and 200–450 pounds as adults, while standard donkeys can hit 48 inches and 500 pounds.
@Mrbeans2000 had everyone laughing when he joked, “2 hours old and that big? That donkey looks like he already has a car loan, mortgage, and utilities bills.”
According to the Smithsonian, baby mini donkeys usually weigh 18–25 pounds at birth, but just look at this sleepy little guy—he’s already impressively tall. It’s amazing to think he was inside his mom, Missy, just 12 hours earlier. Both Missy and her son are healthy and doing wonderfully.
Now it’s time to let this mama take a well-deserved nap—after all, she’s earned it!
