A sweet foster puppy in Savannah, Georgia, just experienced his very first night in a cozy bed—and the internet can’t handle the cuteness.
TikTok user @mythologicaldogs shared the heartwarming clip in early November, capturing the puppy, Charlie, napping for the first time in a safe, warm home. Born on the streets, Charlie spent over six months with his mom and seven littermates before being rescued.
“Today I brought home a foster that’s never ever been inside a house before,” Laurel Lingenfelter, Charlie’s foster mom, wrote. “As soon as we got home, he crashed. His body was just exhausted.”

The video shows Charlie curling up in his crate, filled with a soft, fluffy bed. For more than five hours, he didn’t move. When he finally stirred, he began crying softly—not wanting to leave his new sanctuary, but just wanting someone to sit with him. Laurel stayed by his side, petting him until he drifted back to sleep.
“It was his first nap ever in a quiet place, the first where he truly felt safe,” Laurel explained. “He submissively licked his lips, showed me his belly, and wagged his tail. He didn’t want to leave the bed; he just wanted to feel safe and loved.”
The video has captured hearts online, racking up over 4.2 million views and more than 565,000 likes. Fans were quick to comment, sharing their own experiences with fostering and praising Charlie’s bravery.
One viewer wrote, “I would be a foster fail every single time,” while another added, “How can people mistreat animals so badly that they are anxious messes like this?”
Charlie’s story is a reminder of the power of rescue and fostering. Giving a shelter pup a temporary home not only helps socialize them but also gives them a chance to experience love, comfort, and safety for the first time.
