A now-viral TikTok from @peaththegoldendog shows Peach, an adorable golden retriever puppy, experiencing lemon juice for the very first time. The clip has racked up millions of views, and for good reason.
The video opens with Peach cautiously tasting the lemon before immediately licking her lips like something has gone terribly wrong. The caption reads, “This was not a pleasant experience,” while on-screen text perfectly captures her betrayal: “WTF did you give me? I can’t eat this.” Peach then stares at her human with a look that clearly says, what is wrong with you?

Peach drags the lemon to her bed and begins a dramatic showdown. She attacks it. Retreats. Jumps at it again. Lies down next to it. Swats it with her paws. After every hit, she pulls her ears back and snarls at the lemon like it personally offended her.
When brute force doesn’t work, Peach escalates to barking. A lot. She cycles through biting, pawing, barking, and glaring, clearly unsure what strategy might defeat her sour enemy. What makes it even funnier is that Peach never actually wants to bite the lemon — and whenever she does, she instantly regrets it, furiously licking her mouth like she’s made the worst decision of her life.
