With Valentine’s Day just weeks away, love really is in the air — and apparently, that includes the Alaskan wilderness too.

A sweet video making the rounds online shows two Alaskan bears appearing to strike up an unlikely romance, charming viewers with what looks a lot like animal flirting. If bears can have relationships, it’s safe to say these two have officially entered a “bearlationship.”

The short clip opens with the pair facing each other from opposite sides of a rock, cautiously peeking around it as if sizing one another up. After a moment of quiet curiosity, they seem to decide they’re comfortable enough to get closer.

The scene then shifts to an open field, where one bear makes an unmistakable move — rolling onto its back in a playful invitation that looks a lot like a puppy asking someone to come play. The gesture is impossible to ignore.

Before long, the second bear gives in to curiosity and approaches, and from there the interaction quickly turns affectionate. By the end of the footage, the two bears are sitting together in the field, cuddling, sniffing, and clearly enjoying each other’s company.

It’s a brief moment, but one that feels perfectly timed for the season of love — proof that even in the wilds of Alaska, romance can find a way.
