A sweet friendship between two very different animals is melting hearts online — and it’s happening at a zoo.
Zoos are often a place where people can learn about wildlife, get some fresh air, and spend time with family. Many of them also play a major role in protecting endangered species, helping animals survive and thrive for future generations. But sometimes, the most memorable moments come from the animals themselves.
That’s exactly what happened at Turtle Back Zoo when one visitor spotted something incredibly adorable.
On March 7, TikTok user @lyss.wellness shared a video showing the zoo’s cheetah, Nandi, cuddling up with her best friend — a Yellow Labrador named Bowie.
Even though they’re completely different species, the pair looked like siblings as they snuggled together and gently groomed each other.
In the short clip, Bowie lets out a huge yawn while Nandi lovingly nuzzles and licks him, creating an unbelievably sweet moment that quickly captured the internet’s attention.

The video has already racked up more than 250,000 views in just a few days.
Viewers flooded the comments section with reactions, many pointing out that the two animals even appeared to be “holding paws.”
Another commenter joked that Nandi was “kissing all his spots off.”
For Nandi, Bowie isn’t just a dog — he’s family.
Both animals are about seven years old and have grown up together, which is why their bond looks so natural. To them, life together is all they’ve ever known.
Some viewers also pointed out that friendships like this are actually quite common in zoos.
“Cheetahs are so shy and nervous,” one commenter explained. “That’s her emotional support puppy.”
And they’re not wrong. Many zoos intentionally pair cheetahs with dogs because the calm, confident personality of a dog can help the naturally anxious big cats feel more comfortable.
In Nandi and Bowie’s case, the partnership has clearly turned into something much deeper — a lifelong friendship that’s now winning over the internet.
