A tiny cow on an Oregon ranch is stealing hearts online—and people can’t get enough of him.
At Hammer Ranch in southeast Oregon, ranch owner Derek Hammer and his family raise cattle across 160 acres of open fields. The ranch regularly welcomes new calves each season, but one recent arrival has everyone doing a double take: an unbelievably small dwarf calf who looks more like a toy than a cow.
Of course, his miniature size is what makes him so adorable. But what really surprised viewers was seeing him next to another calf in Derek’s video. Despite looking much smaller, the dwarf calf is actually older than the other calf standing beside him, which makes his tiny stature even more remarkable.

The video quickly caught attention online, with viewers falling in love with the pint-sized bovine.
Many commenters immediately joked that the little guy clearly belongs indoors rather than out in the pasture. One person racked up nearly 17,000 likes after writing, “OMG he’s meant for the house!!!” while another chimed in with the simple suggestion: “House cow!”
Others agreed that the calf looks more like a household pet than a farm animal. “So he’s basically a dog and now an indoor pet, right?” one viewer joked.
Another commenter laughed, “All my brain said was ‘Put it in the truck!’”
And one fan may have come up with the perfect nickname for the tiny ranch celebrity, declaring, “I WILL CALL HIM SHAWTY BEEF!!!!!”
