A baby elephant named Lady Bird has found a brand-new obsession.

The little cutie is absolutely loving playtime with a hose, and the video of her soaking it all in is almost too sweet to handle. As the water sprays around her, Lady Bird looks like she is having the time of her life, happily waving her trunk and splashing around like the whole thing is the greatest surprise ever.

And honestly, it might be.

After enjoying the spray, Lady Bird takes things up another notch by rolling around in the fresh mud, which somehow makes the whole moment even cuter. Once she has had her fun, she heads right back for a cozy snuggle with her mom.

The zoo perfectly summed it up in the caption, joking that the jury is still out on whether Lady Bird will grow up to love swimming as much as her big brother Brazos. But one thing already seems crystal clear — she is definitely a fan of the hose.

People in the comments could not get enough of her.

The reactions were full of hearts, excitement, and the kind of pure joy that only a baby elephant can inspire. One person sweetly called out, “LAAAAAAAADYBIIIIIRRD,” which honestly feels like the only proper response to a video this cute.

Lady Bird’s big brother Brazos is already a bit of a water superstar himself. The Fort Worth Zoo has shared plenty of videos showing him splashing around in his pool, and he clearly knows how to make a scene. In one clip from last year, Brazos dives right into the water, fully dunking his head while spraying from his trunk like a total pro.

One commenter hilariously described it as swimming “with a built-in snorkel,” which is honestly pretty perfect.

The zoo even made it official with one caption, declaring, “Brazos always has been and always will be our swimming boy!”

Now it looks like Lady Bird may be following in those very wet footsteps — even if she is starting with the hose instead of the pool.

Either way, this baby elephant is already winning hearts, one splash at a time.
