Wild boars are not usually the first animals people think of when they hear the word “adorable,” but one tiny piglet is making the internet rethink everything.

HGTV recently shared a sweet video of a baby wild boar spotted while Castle Impossible hosts Daphne Reckert and Ian Figueira were filming an episode of the show. The little animal quickly stole the spotlight, and viewers could not get enough.

The piglet was seen trotting around with the cutest little steps, sniffing curiously and letting out happy snorts as it explored. From its tiny body to its bold little personality, the baby boar had people instantly smitten.

It is the kind of moment that reminds everyone that even animals with a tough reputation start out ridiculously cute.

While the clip was undeniably precious, there was one question on everyone’s mind: Where was the baby boar’s mama?

Reckert and Figueira wondered the same thing, and for good reason. As cute as the piglet was, getting between a wild boar mother and her baby is not something anyone wants to do.

Wild boar moms can be fiercely protective, especially when their young are nearby. So even though the little piglet looked harmless and huggable, it was probably best admired from a safe distance.

Still, the tiny scene was enough to melt hearts. Between the snorts, the curious wandering and the pint-sized trot, this baby boar turned an ordinary filming moment into an unexpected dose of wildlife cuteness.

Viewers may have tuned in for Castle Impossible, but for a few seconds, this tiny wild boar completely stole the show.
