A sweet senior shelter dog in Pennsylvania is finally getting his moment after being overlooked for far too long.
Grandpa Turtle, a lovable senior Pit Bull at ACCT Philly, won hearts online after volunteer Rachel, who posts as @rachelishaa, shared a video of him on July 2. The gentle “grandpa dog” quickly gained fans from across the country, with viewers rooting for him to finally get the second chance he deserved.
And just two days later, the best update arrived.
Grandpa Turtle was rescued by @giana_sabatino and Providence Animal Center, giving him a fresh start and bringing him one big step closer to finding a forever home.
It’s easy to see why so many people fell in love with him. In the video, Turtle looked thrilled just to have someone visiting him at the shelter.
