Tank the Chocolate Lab mix was just looking for a little fun with his donkey best friend.
Unfortunately for him, Biscuit was not in the mood to share.
The adorable farm duo from @biscuits.and.the usually gets along just fine, but things got a little tense when Tank wandered into Biscuit’s pen and decided to steal the donkey’s favorite football.
Tank, who loves tagging along while his dad does chores around the farm, spotted Biscuit playing with the ball and apparently decided it looked too good to pass up.
He quickly grabbed it for himself.
Biscuit’s reaction made one thing very clear: that ball was not up for grabs.
The donkey immediately chased after his canine buddy, letting Tank know in no uncertain terms that he had crossed a line.
Normally, the two animals are good friends, but Biscuit is apparently very protective of that particular toy.
“Biscuit loves that football and gets really pissed when the dogs take it,” their owner explained. “He is usually pretty good with them.”

Viewers couldn’t help but laugh at how quickly Tank’s playful theft backfired.
One commenter also pointed out that donkeys are powerful animals and can be extremely protective when they feel threatened, making it a very good idea for Tank to respect Biscuit’s boundaries.
Luckily, the tension didn’t last long.
Biscuit settled back down once the ball drama was over, and there doesn’t appear to be any lasting trouble between the unlikely best friends.
At just 1 year old, Tank is still learning the rules of farm life. The Labrador and German Shorthaired Pointer mix may love playing with Biscuit, but he now knows there is at least one thing his donkey buddy does not want to share.
Next time, Tank might want to bring his own ball.
