Two fluffy tabby cats are proving once again that you do not need an expensive toy to make a cat ridiculously happy.
All you need is cardboard.
In a hilarious Instagram video shared by @the.allycat, the two cats are seen bouncing, climbing and diving through what can only be described as a giant cardboard-box playground in the middle of their living room.
There are boxes everywhere.
Big ones, small ones, tall ones, wide ones — basically every shape and size a cat could possibly want.
And the cats are clearly living their best lives.
The clip is captioned, “There ain’t no party like a cat box party,” and the soundtrack, Queen’s “Don’t Stop Me Now,” could not fit the chaos any better.

One cat dives headfirst into a box.
The other hops from one cardboard hideout to another.
Then they switch.
At some points, they look like they are playing hide-and-seek. At others, they seem to be testing each box to determine which one deserves the honor of becoming the official favorite.
Naturally, viewers loved every second.
One person joked that the biggest problem with creating a box playground is that the cats may never let you throw any of it away.
The creator appeared to agree, replying that an entire room might now need to be dedicated to cardboard boxes.
Another viewer joked that the living room had officially become “the box room.”
Honestly, the cats probably would not object.
There is also a real reason cats are so obsessed with boxes.
Boxes give cats a sense of security and provide a cozy, enclosed place where they can hide, observe and relax.
They can also turn a boring room into an instant adventure zone.
For these two tabbies, though, the science probably does not matter.
They just know Mom accidentally created the greatest amusement park they have ever seen.
And judging by how much fun they are having, those boxes are not going anywhere anytime soon.
