The honey badger may have a cute name, but really, they’re anything but cute. They’re aggressive, ferociously defensive, and have few predators.
You really don’t want to mess with them, which leads us to this honey badger who was being rehomed on the Selati Game Reserve in South Africa. He got a little disoriented when the volunteers let him out of the cage, and it ends up being pretty funny.
@Selati Research Volunteers shared this funny video in August 2023, and we have watched it several times already. The music is the perfect accompaniment, too.
They let one honey badger out and it goes exactly as expected…he runs for freedom. The other one? Not so much!

Well that definitely didn’t go as planned, but it was funny to watch.
Our question really is why anybody would choose to stand in front of the cages. We definitely wouldn’t want to be directly in front of a honey badger’s line of sight!
