If you’re looking for something to put a smile on your face, this busy sea otter at the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, California will do it! The aquarium posted a video in mid-December 2023 of an otter enjoying an ice bath, and you can tell that he’s living his best life!
The clip is only about 30 seconds long, but it’s 30 seconds of pure adorableness. The otter is slipping and sliding around, while playing with a couple of toys. I don’t know much about otters but it’s clear from the video that he’s enjoying the icy water. When you watch the video, make sure the sound is up. All the clickety-clack noises are what make this video so fun!

He was having a blast in that tub full of ice! I loved watching him play with his toys and bang them together. His little teeth were pretty cute, too! And hearing @Aquarium of the Pacific mammologist Erin giggling as she recorded the busy otter was just the best!
