“They just don’t leave each other alone,” the owner of both pets, Hannah Wenzel, explains.
It took a couple of weeks for Bella the pit bull and Lulu the tabby cat to warm up to each other, but now the pair cuddle “every night and day.”
A sweet video of the duo “sunbathing” together has racked up nearly 14 million views on TikTok since it was posted on Feb. 12.
Hannah Wenzel explains she adopted Bella after her first day volunteering at the Wisconsin Humane Society about six years ago.
“I wasn’t going to get a dog, but she is really affectionate,” she says.
Since Bella was a stray, Wenzel received no background information on whether she was good with other dogs or cats. But since Bella was Wenzel’s only pet, she wasn’t worried.
Wenzel didn’t meet Lulu until she relocated to Houston, Texas, in September and spotted the kitten eating chicken wings under the table at an outdoor restaurant and bar.
“I was like, ‘Oh my God, we need to take her home,'” she recalls.
At first, Wenzel tried to keep the canine and feline apart.
“They had a couple run-ins where Lulu did not like Bella,” the pet parent says of the pair’s early days. “She hissed at her and was scared of her.”
Wenzel kept the two pets separated until Lulu got checked for fleas and received her vaccinations. Then, over two weeks, Wenzel began to let the pets around each other, and a bond started to form.
“One day, I woke up, and they were both in the bed with me,” she says. “And now, they just don’t leave each other alone.”
“They play with each other,” she adds. “They cuddle. They get along great.”
Wenzel describes Lulu as a “crazy tabby” who’s “always knocking stuff over” and running around.
“She has no fear,” she adds. “The vet actually said, ‘She’s very confident. … Just as long as your dog’s calm, they won’t have a problem.'”

Wenzel says Bella is “very cuddly” and “sometimes lazy” but with spurts of energy. She’s also “very food and play-motivated.”
Lulu’s cat bed is next to Bella’s dog bed, and Wenzel will find them sleeping in the same one.
“Now, they’re like best friends,” she says. “If you can see one of them, you can find the other one.”
TikTok users were delighted by the inseparable pair.
“I hope they find each other in every lifetime,” someone wrote, while another comment read, “You’ve truly captured magic.”
