A pet mom decision to rescue a stray kitten during a severe storm has warmed the hearts of viewers online.
The pet mom, known online as @beautygirlfrend, took to the social media platform on January 14 to document the dramatic rescue of the female kitten that had occurred during a typhoon and the feline’s budding relationship with their resident dog.
The video, which has currently amassed more than 7 million views, begins with a clip of the tiny kitten clinging to a tree amidst torrential rain before being rescued.

“During a crazy storm, I found this kitten holding on to a tree. I knew I had to save her and take her home. I couldn’t leave her there she was so tiny and sad,” the video’s text overlay reads. “She was covered in bugs, so I gave her a good cleaning.”
Amid increasing bouts of extreme weather, the video has struck a chord with audiences online, some of whom praised the rescuer’s quick thinking and generosity.
The kitten, visibly weak, is later shown being diligently cleaned and fed.
“She gobbled up her first meal at my place,” the video’s text overlay continued.
As the video progresses, viewers are introduced to another character in the story—the rescuer’s dog who quickly becomes the kitten’s closest companion.
“I was worried she’d be scared, so I let my puppy peek at her only after she fell asleep,” the rescuer wrote in a text overlay.
A day later, the two are shown playfully fighting, before making up and becoming “buddies.”
Other clips in the video show the cat grooming herself, napping contentedly, and playing with her newfound canine friend.
“When she’s being cute, she’s a real beauty,” the rescuer said.
The kitten’s journey of recovery and integration into her new home delighted TikTok users, with 5,200 of them commenting on the video.
