Everyone has to suffer through a bad haircut at some point in their life. Clover Farm is a small hobby farm in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. They have some mini Hereford cows, affectionately called pasture puppies. There is a fluffy dog that might be a great Pyrenees, but looks more like a border collie. Goats, ducks, a super large gray cat, a black cat, a basset hound, and four alpacas round out the menagerie. It’s easy to tell when the alpacas need a haircut.
First comes the loss of vision in one or both eyes. Haircut season is in May. We aren’t sure if these hobby farmers harvest the fur when they give the alpaca herd haircuts. We know that these poor little animals have some pretty silly haircuts. Surprisingly, they are not the worst alpaca haircuts.

Alpacas are very popular for hobby farmers. One little alpaca was afraid to show off his new haircut. He hesitantly stepped out from behind a hay bale. Please try not to gasp. He is shy. We know he looks like a Bichon Frise with a really long neck. The Woodhaven Rescue Farm in Lafayette, Indiana, has a tradition of giving its alpacas special mullets yearly.
