Kindhearted people who feed and care for stray animals are a big reason why there is still hope in the world. Anyone can take a few minutes to make an animal’s life better, but selfless folks like Steph don’t hesitate to go above and beyond for furry friends in need.
Cat mom Steph reached out to her TikTok followers in mid-July after a tiny stray kitten began appearing at her front door. She left him food and water for several days, but when he kept reappearing, she felt the time was right to give the Cat Distribution System an extra hand.
But how would she go about catching a jumpy feral kitten?

Wow, that kitten is so tiny to be wandering all alone! We may not know what happened to his mother or siblings, but it’s a relief to know that Steph was looking out for him. It’s challenging for any cat to survive on the streets, especially a small, delicate kitten like this cutie pie.
Still, the million-dollar question remains: how can Steph catch him? He’ll happily come to the porch for a snack, but tempting him to come inside is an entirely different question.
Anyone who’s ever attempted to catch a cat can relate to Steph’s struggle. If a kitty doesn’t want to be caught, they won’t be! Luckily, commenters had plenty of ideas for domesticating the feral kitten.
“Keep feeding and quietly speaking to it. It will slowly gain your trust,” one person suggested.
Another said, “Sometimes the local animal shelters have traps you can borrow, and catch the little one that way, maybe.” Another solid idea! In the end, however, the concept that worked was perhaps the simplest, too.
