Life on the farm isn’t always easy, but moments like this make it all worthwhile.
The team at @nattywestalpacas shared the sweetest surprise on September 16 when one of their alpacas gave birth — and her baby wasted no time stealing hearts. Just hours after being born, the tiny cria (that’s what baby alpacas are called) was already wobbling to her feet and taking her very first steps.

Her spindly little legs and unsteady stride had viewers swooning, with many quick to chime in with potential nicknames. Some called her Pipe Cleaner because of her skinny legs, while others suggested Piper, Vanilla Bean, or even Muppet. Whatever you call her, it’s clear she’s already got a fan club.
And the glow-up was almost instant. Within just two days, the little alpaca went from wobbly and unsure to fluffy, confident, and racing across the pasture like she owned the place. Her mama, of course, watched proudly as the newborn zoomed around with her newfound energy.
It’s no wonder people can’t get enough — from her first shaky steps to her speedy pasture laps, this little one is already the star of the farm.
