His owner, Marlee Morris, knew the end was near. So instead of letting Memphis slip away quietly, she gave him a send-off full of joy. Wrapped in cozy blankets on his bed, the sweet pup welcomed one friend after another who came to say goodbye. And somehow, even with his body weak, Memphis found the strength to wag his tail—again and again.
Marlee captured the emotional moment in a now-viral TikTok video, which has touched thousands of hearts. “Late night finds but it’s just a video of my dog on his last day on earth getting his last tail wags in when all his friends came to visit and say goodbye,” the on-screen caption reads.

In the video, one of Memphis’s favorite humans walks into the room, and suddenly, the blankets start to rustle—it’s his tail. Even in his final hours, he was thrilled to see his people, giving them the gift of one more wag.
“Our final tail wag competition. If anyone was wondering who got the biggest wags, it was my sisters, not his own mom. We miss you, Memmy,” Marlee wrote in the caption.
