Oatmeal, the Golden Retriever, might just be the funniest farm dog on the internet right now. Just watch him taking his signature “stick breaks” with his sheep buddies — even though none of them actually care about sticks. Classic Oatmeal move, LOL.

Apparently, none of the sheep Oatmeal calls his best friends actually like him all that much. But in true Golden Retriever fashion, he thinks everyone is his friend, LOL. His human mom says it’s because he can’t quite “read body language” and doesn’t realize the sheep are just tolerating him. She admits she could never break his heart by telling him the truth — and really, who could? That happy face deserves to stay that way.
His owner even has a theory about why Oatmeal thinks he fits in with the sheep: they’re built the same way — big, fluffy bodies on tiny little feet. When you think about it, he’s not totally wrong! There’s definitely some funny “dog math” going on there.
And Oatmeal’s charm doesn’t stop with the sheep. In another viral clip, he’s seen playing “ping-pong” with his feline frenemy, Nuggie the Tabby Cat. Oatmeal thinks they’re best friends, while Nuggie clearly sees it as a rivalry — making them the ultimate frenemies, LOL.
Their version of ping-pong involves Nuggie’s cat catcher toy and a lot of chaotic fun. Naturally, Nuggie’s quick paws give him the upper hand, while Oatmeal mostly barks in protest whenever he starts losing.
