Many moms love to say that their kids will always be their babies—no matter how old or big they get. Turns out, that’s just as true for wombats as it is for humans.
In this heart-melting video, a rather large wombat cub is doing everything he can to stay snuggled up in his mother’s pouch. He’s clearly too big for it now, but honestly, who can blame him? The pouch looks way cozier than the outside world!

Even though this little one can already walk around, he’s not quite ready to give up his favorite spot. As the video perfectly puts it, “This little one just can’t give up his cozy spot in the pouch – tiny legs out, but his heart still tucked inside.” That might be one of the sweetest things ever, and the internet definitely agrees.
