Wildlife guide and photographer Manja Kema is known for sharing breathtaking moments from the African wilderness — but her latest video is winning hearts for a much more relatable reason.
In the clip, a tired mother lion is clearly trying to sneak in a quick nap while keeping an eye on her three energetic cubs. Unfortunately for her, the little ones have absolutely no interest in quiet time.
The mama lion stretches out on her side, eyes heavy, hoping for some rest. Meanwhile, two mischievous cubs discover that her tail is the perfect toy. They bat at it, chew on it, and even turn it into a full-on tug-of-war. At one point, Mom gives her tail a sharp flick, clearly attempting to lay down the law — but the cubs barely notice and keep right on playing.
Adding to the humor, one cub near her head seems content to relax alongside her, looking far more interested in rest than chaos. If lions have favorites, that one might be winning at the moment.
