Just when you think you’ve seen every possible pet reunion video… along comes a full-grown turkey sprinting toward his mom like she’s been deployed overseas.

Yes. A turkey.

The now-viral clip opens with the perfect caption: “Some people are excited to see their dogs and cats when they get home, others… their turkeys.”

And she absolutely delivers.

On-screen text explains what’s happening: “My turkey ‘Tim’ sighting me after not seeing me for three days.”

The second Tim locks eyes with his human, it’s game over. He takes off running — or, more accurately, performing what can only be described as a high-speed skidaddle waddle. Feathers fluffed. Wattle wobbling. Legs moving in determined little bursts.

It’s chaotic. It’s dramatic. It’s adorable.

And yes, he makes it all the way in for a hug.

The comments section lost it.

“Ma’am… that is not a run. That is a skidaddle waddle,” one viewer joked — and honestly, that might be the most accurate description ever written.

Another added, “Omg his little run.” Because truly, once you see it, you cannot unsee it.

But beyond the laughs, there were also some sweet reminders. “All animals need love,” one commenter wrote. Tim is clearly getting plenty of it.

Tim’s mom chimed in too, revealing she had no idea how amazing turkeys could be until one was given to her. Now? She has four.

Imagine that reunion times four.

So… do turkeys actually make good pets?

Surprisingly, yes — for the right household. Turkeys need outdoor space, fresh water, secure fencing, and plenty of food. They aren’t exactly suburban backyard birds unless you’ve got serious room to roam. But for those with the space and setup, they can be incredibly affectionate.

Professional homesteader Jennifer Sartell has even described turkeys as gentle and incredibly loyal — comparing her own pet turkey to a Golden Retriever.

And after watching Tim’s full-speed reunion sprint, we’re inclined to agree.
