There’s something about that fresh-from-the-salon glow. You walk a little taller. You feel a little fancier. You suddenly understand why models strut.
Apparently, the same applies to golden retrievers.
A light-colored golden named Duke is going viral after showing off his post-groomer confidence on TikTok. In a clip shared to @dukethatgolden, Duke sits tall and proud, clearly aware that he looks incredible.
The on-screen text reads, “POV my golden retriever after the groomers,” and honestly, it’s the most accurate description possible.

With “Be My Baby” by The Ronettes playing softly in the background, Duke’s mom admires his glow-up. “Hi Mister,” she says sweetly, clearly impressed. She compliments his posture and tells him, “You look amazing,” as the camera zooms in.
And Duke?
He barely blinks. He holds the pose. He gives serious leading-man energy.
At the very end, he appears to briefly doze off — but somehow still manages to maintain his dignified expression. His mom captioned the video, “His face at the end 😂😂😂😂,” and yes, the payoff is absolutely worth it.
To be fair, the groomer did an elite job. Duke’s fur is perfectly trimmed and fluffed, especially around his chest and shoulders. Not a single strand is out of place. It’s giving shampoo commercial vibes.
Naturally, the comment section lost its mind.
“He’s not a gentleman… but a distinguished gentleman,” one user wrote.
“Ohhhhhhh Dukie you look so daper!!! Duke of New York pose!” another joked.
And one fan had big plans for him: “Put this man in a tux and send him off to The Bachelor.”
Honestly? With that posture and that aura, he’d absolutely hand out roses.
