Is there anything sweeter than a brand-new mom proudly showing off her babies? That glowing, “look what I made” energy is universal — and apparently, it’s not just a human thing.
Meet Josie, a fluffy ragdoll cat who recently welcomed three tiny kittens into the world. And like any proud mama, she had exactly one friend she couldn’t wait to introduce them to: Lucy, her gentle, senior Golden Retriever bestie.
In a TikTok clip that’s racked up nearly 10 million views, Josie is practically vibrating with excitement as she presents her newborns. According to the caption, Josie grew up with Lucy, which explains the deep trust between them.

The video begins with their human asking Josie, “Do you want to show me or Lucy your kids?” Josie responds with an eager meow before immediately rubbing and bunting against Lucy like she’s announcing the biggest news of her life.
Cut to Lucy lying calmly on a fluffy white rug while Josie does everything short of waving a banner to get her attention. She paws at her. She rubs against her. She hovers over the kittens like a stage mom at recital night.
Meanwhile, Lucy barely reacts.
The Golden Retriever remains impressively chill as Josie nudges her, grooms her, and practically begs her to admire the babies. At one point, Josie even flops protectively over the kittens and rests her paw on Lucy’s leg, licking her affectionately — as if sealing the deal on Lucy’s honorary godmother status.
Lucy’s vibe? “I love you… but I am too old for this.”
Naturally, the comment section exploded.
One viewer joked, “Josie is like ‘look at the babies, but most importantly look at me.’” Another wrote, “MOVE kittens, I’m trying to talk to my friend,” which someone else hilariously called “literally a quote from every mom ever.”
Others were fully invested in Lucy’s new role. “That mama is SO proud & happy of her furry little ones!! Lucy is going to be a lovely furry godmother!” one person commented. Another demanded, “One of those kittens better be named Lucille or Lucy Jr.”
Several fans even pointed out that the duo looks suspiciously like Shadow and Sassy from Homeward Bound — and honestly, once you see it, you can’t unsee it.
