A 7-week-old black Lab named Timmy is already melting hearts before he even starts his very important job.
The tiny puppy, who is training to become a guide dog through The Seeing Eye in Morristown, New Jersey, recently got the sweetest newborn-style photoshoot, and the results are almost too cute to handle.
In a video shared to Instagram on May 13, little Timmy can be seen wrapped in a soft white blanket and wearing a tiny knit hat. He was then placed in a cream-colored knitted basket beside a mini teddy bear for close-up photos.
Yes, he looked exactly like a newborn baby.
The adorable shoot came from photographers Lauren Kara and Stephanie Blum, who turned a playful idea into something incredibly special.
“What started as a creative idea between two photographers quickly turned into something truly special,” Lauren and Stephanie explained.
Lauren, who works as a newborn and family photographer, had long joked that she wanted to photograph a newborn puppy the same way she photographs babies. When she mentioned the idea to Stephanie, a pet photographer, they both knew they had to make it happen.
The perfect opportunity came when Stephanie welcomed Timmy as her next Seeing Eye puppy to foster from The Seeing Eye of Morristown.
That is when the two photographers brought the dream shoot to life.
The Seeing Eye is a nonprofit organization that trains guide dogs to help blind people gain more independence, confidence and dignity in their daily lives.
Timmy may still be tiny now, but he is already on the path toward becoming a dog with a life-changing mission.
To celebrate the start of that journey, the photographers made sure the little pup was comfortable and relaxed throughout the shoot. Stephanie kept Timmy cozy while Lauren gently wrapped and photographed him as he slept.
The result was exactly what the internet needed: a sleepy puppy wrapped like a newborn baby, surrounded by soft blankets and tiny props.

Behind the scenes, Lauren could not stop gushing over Timmy.
She said the shoot was filled with “tiny puppy noises,” that unforgettable puppy smell, and the kind of sweetness that made everyone melt.
Timmy may one day grow into a hardworking Seeing Eye dog, but for now, he is just a sleepy little puppy with a teddy bear, a knit hat and a whole lot of people falling in love with him online.
One day, he may change someone’s life.
But right now, he is busy changing everyone’s mood.
