Everyone knows the awkward feeling of walking into a party and immediately realizing you do not quite belong.
Maybe you wore the wrong outfit. Maybe you brought the wrong food. Maybe you showed up to the wrong house entirely.
For one Golden Retriever, the problem was even funnier.
He was simply not a Dachshund.
In a hilarious video making the rounds online, the big, friendly Golden Retriever appears to accidentally wander into what looks like a full-blown Dachshund gathering. The on-screen text says it best: “POV: You accidentally stumble upon a Dachshund cult meeting.”
And honestly, that is exactly what it looks like.
The Golden stands there surrounded by tiny long-bodied dogs, clearly trying to figure out what kind of meeting he has just interrupted. The Dachshunds are everywhere, moving around him like he has accidentally crashed a very exclusive hot dog dog club.
To his credit, the Golden does not panic.
He looks confused, but polite. Lost, but friendly. Like he knows he is in the wrong place, but still wants to be invited to whatever is happening.

Viewers could not get enough of the awkward but adorable moment.
One commenter perfectly imagined what the Golden must have been thinking: “Why so many hotdogs?”
Another joked, “HE DOESN’T EVEN GO HERE.”
Plenty of people also imagined the Dachshunds sounding the alarm at the sight of the much larger intruder.
“Intruder, intruder!” one viewer joked.
But the Golden was not the only outsider in the group. One sharp-eyed commenter spotted another unexpected guest hiding among the Dachshunds.
“I know that Chihuahua trynna blend in,” they wrote.
That only made the whole scene even funnier.
Between the confused Golden Retriever, the swarm of tiny Dachshunds, and the sneaky Chihuahua trying to pass unnoticed, the video feels like the perfect dog version of showing up at the wrong party and deciding to stay anyway.
The Golden may not have been part of the Dachshund club, but he handled the situation like a gentleman.
Sometimes being the odd one out just makes you the star of the show.
