A 9-week-old Australian Shepherd puppy named Dream is winning hearts online after showing off a jaw-dropping list of tricks that most dogs never learn, let alone before they are even 3 months old.
Dream may still be tiny, but this smart little pup is already acting like a total pro. In a video shared by her human mom, the Australian Shepherd puppy proves she can pose for selfies, open and close kitchen cabinets, give hugs and kisses on command, and follow instructions like she has been training for years.
And that is only the beginning.
In the adorable clip, Dream crosses her paws, performs a trust fall with her mom, and even “sploots” and “unsploots” her legs on command. She also knows to stop and wait for permission before walking through any door.
That kind of self-control is impressive for any dog, but for a puppy this young, it is seriously remarkable.

One of Dream’s most impressive moments comes when her mom places a plate of food right next to her on the floor. Most puppies would immediately turn their attention to the food, but not Dream.
Instead, she keeps her eyes locked on her mom and listens carefully. When her mom tells her to follow her around the living room, Dream does it without hesitation and without sneaking even one look at the food sitting nearby.
It is safe to say Dream is not just a good girl. She is a superstar in training.
Of course, Dream’s breed may have something to do with her amazing learning ability.
Australian Shepherds are known for being one of the smartest and most trainable dog breeds. Often called Aussies, these dogs are famous for their obedience, energy, and herding instincts. They were bred to work with livestock over long distances and through unpredictable terrain, which means they are naturally good at reading situations, responding quickly, and staying focused on a job.
That built-in drive makes Australian Shepherds happiest when they have something to do. Training gives them both mental and physical stimulation, which is exactly what these bright dogs need to thrive.
Still, even by Aussie standards, Dream appears to be something special.
Learning such a wide range of tricks at only 9 weeks old shows that she is not only intelligent but also deeply connected to her mom. Their bond is clear in the way Dream watches, listens, and responds with total trust.
Early training can be helpful for puppies of all breeds. It builds a strong foundation for good behavior, makes basic commands like sit, stay, and wait easier to teach, and can help with potty training, public safety, confidence, and socialization.
At the same time, every puppy learns at their own pace. Some dogs pick up commands quickly, while others need more time and patience.
Dream, however, seems determined to live up to her name.
