A tiny foster puppy recovering from surgery found the sweetest nurse in the house: an orange cat named Mango.
The adorable moment was shared on TikTok by @blusrescue, where viewers watched Mango gently comfort the little pup after her spay surgery. The video has already picked up more than 18,000 views.
While cats and dogs are often joked about as natural enemies, Mango and the foster puppy seem to have skipped that part completely.
In the clip, the small puppy cautiously checks out her surroundings while Mango stays close by, licking her face and nuzzling against her as if he knows she needs extra love.

The rescue said Mango has never acted this way with any of their other foster dogs.
“I’ve never seen Mango this obsessed with any of our other foster dogs,” the caption said. “He’s always trying to play with her, cuddle her, and generally be around her.”
The rescue jokingly added that Mango may think the puppy is also a cat because she is so small.
Viewers immediately fell in love with the unlikely duo.
“That’s his nurse checking on him,” one person wrote. “I think that is the sweetest act of love I’ve seen in a long time.”
Others joked that Mango had already made the adoption decision for everyone.
