A Colorado dog is safely back home after getting trapped in a golf course pond and needing a little help from police.

Luna, a brown-and-white dog, ended up stuck in the deep water at Hyland Hills Golf Course in Westminster on May 19, according to the Westminster Police Department.

Police bodycam footage shared by the department showed the soaking-wet pup clinging to the side of the pond as officers worked to pull her out.

Officers had responded that morning after receiving a call about a dog in trouble. Westminster Police Animal Management Officer Wood and another officer arrived at the golf course and found Luna in the water.

“That’s a good girl,” Officer Wood could be heard saying in the video as the officers tried to comfort the frightened dog.

The officers used a towel and leash to carefully pull Luna out of the pond and back onto dry land. Throughout the rescue, they reassured her with gentle pats and kind words.

The Westminster Police Department shared the rescue as a happy ending for one very lucky pup.
